MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June, 3, 2019) –The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund announced today that six Charlotte-based couples struggling with infertility have been awarded grants to help pay for fertility treatments. These couples join Jessica and Robert Bell, who were recently granted $20,000 from the Fund live on NBC’s Today Show,in the ninth round of “Bundle of Joy” grant offerings totaling $105,000 – the largest amount ever distributed for the foundation.
“Bundle of Joy Fund grant days are hands down my favorite days because it means we have the opportunity to watch lives change right in front of us, and that’s such an incredible feeling,” said Samantha Busch, Executive Director, The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund. “I know first-hand the emotional, mental, and physical stress that infertility can have on a woman and a couple, so to be able to help lift that financial burden and give hope to these couples – nothing beats that.”
This news comes on the heels of Samantha’s participation in RESOLVE’s annual Federal Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill where she met with Members of Congress to talk about the overall impact of infertility.
“Through the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund, it has been my mission to advocate for infertility education and awareness and to remove the financial barriers that prevent so many couples from having their own bundle of joy, and I canhonestly say that this has been one of the most empowering years for me. I’m starting to see more and more people publicly share their own IVF stories to end the stigma, and it has given me more drive than ever to make a change.” To date, the Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund has awarded nearly $600,000 to help cover the cost of IVF treatments for 44 couples, resulting in 19 babies with four more due in 2019.
